Another NFL Domestic Violence Arrest?

NFL linebacker Reuben Foster of the San Francisco 49ers was recently arrested on the "suspicion" of domestic violence. According to the San Francisco Chronicle the arrest took place on Saturday night in Tampa Bay Florida. As a result of his arrest, the San Francisco 49ers announced that Ruben Foster been cut from the team.
According to the police report, Reuben Foster was placed under arrest Saturday night around 9 pm. After being placed under arrest, Foster was booked at the Hillsborough County jail at around 11 pm.
Officials of the San Francisco 49ers chose not to comment about the incident to the San Francisco Chronicle on Saturday night.
This is one of many incidents that Reuben Foster has been involved in during his short NFL career. At the beginning of the season Foster had a two game suspension for violating the NFL’s conduct and substance abuse policy after pleading no contest to a misdemeanor gun charge. There was a marijuana arrest during the offseason which the charges were dropped.
This past summer, Foster was accused of domestic violence from an ex girlfriend. She recanted her statement and the charges were dropped. She admitted that she made the story up for money. The alleged victim told police that Foster “dragged her by the hair, physically removed her from their house, and punched her in her head at least eight times.”
This season over six games, Foster has recorded 29 total tackles while fighting both a shoulder and a hamstring injury this season.
