TRUE MOTIVES. Lebron James, Kevin Durant and Colin Kapernick

During the 49ers third preseason game of the 2016 NFL season, Colin Kaepernick was seen sitting on the bench during "The Star-Spangled Banner" instead of standing. Kaepernick's  reasoning was "I am not going to stand up to show pride in a flag for a country that oppresses black people and people of color".  This was the stance that Kaepernick took for the remainder of the 2016 as well as the 2017 football season.  Needless to say, this was frowned upon by the NFL and it's owners.  Kaepernick's stance on this also most likely why he hasn't been able to get a job in the NFL.

This has lead to the most resent event of Lebron James and Kevin Durant supporting Colin Kaepernick by wearing his limited edition "IMWITHKAP" jersey.

SPORTS ILLUSTRATED report:

"NBA stars LeBron James and Kevin Durant showed their support for quarterback Colin Kaepernick, sporting the unsigned signal caller's limited edition "#IMWITHKAP" jerseys on Super Bowl weekend.  James has previously voiced his support for Colin Kaepernick both as an NFL quarterback and as the face of the 30th anniversary of Nike's "Just Do It." campaign. James has worn Kaepernick-exclusive gear."

Obviously, on the outside looking in this comes off as genuine and supportive of Colin Kaepernick and his movement.  I have a question.  Is there any other way that can truly support Kaepernick?

There are three that ways that pop into my head automatically.

1.  Give Colin Kaepernick a portion of your NBA salary or endorsement earnings.  This will allow Colin Kaepernick to continue the "GOOD FIGHT" against racism and police brutality.

2.  Maybe Lebron James and Kevin Durant can refuse to play until either Colin Kaepernick gets a job in the NFL or until police brutality completely stops.( obviously the second will most likely never end.)

True support comes with sacrifice.  I think.  Sacrifice has to be somewhere in the equation:

support + sacrifice = success?

This leads to my third and final suggestion.  If you really want to support Colin Kaepernick, maybe Lebron James and Kevin Durant do exactly what Colin Kaepernick did.  Take a damn knee!!!!

That is only if you are actually in support of the cause.  Or is it that during Super Bowl weekend, you want your name to relevant since this weekend has nothing to do with the NBA.  Most people would probably label this as being an attention whore.  In my humble opinion.
